   Thanks for giving a light to an obscure racist system. It’s one that has gone hidden for too long. The article brings about a certain paradox, at least for me. The women written about here were (are) strong women, who knew (know) how to push their own systems under the cover of the white male power structure and thus under the radar of white liberals. So, in a way they were (are) feminists, a label they would strongly reject.
